Primary SEND Teaching Assistant
Protocol Education are currently working with a number of Primary Schools in Hackney who are looking for full-time SEND Assistants to work on a 1:1 basis with children with ASD and other learning difficulties.

£85 - £95 Per day
Job Duties:
- Supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in their learning and development
- Assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering individualised education plans
- Providing one-on-one support to students to help them achieve their learning goals
- Creating a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Collaborating with other staff members and parents to support student progress
Required Qualifications:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Knowledge of SEND practises and strategies
Education:
Minimum GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
Experience:
Prior experience working with students with SEND is preferred
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of different learning styles and abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting student development
Preferred Qualifications:
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Experience working in a primary school setting
Working Conditions:
This role involves working in a primary school setting, providing support to students with SEND. The working hours are full-time, and the environment may be challenging but rewarding.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
