Are you a dedicated and reliable individual with experience in maintenance and caretaking roles? We are seeking a flexible and proactive Supply School Caretaker to join our team on an ad-hoc basis.

We are working with a school in BD8 that are looking for a member of site staff/a caretaker, to join their team ASAP. 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the cleanliness, safety, and security of the school premises.
  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including minor repairs and upkeep of facilities.
  • Monitor heating, lighting, and security systems to ensure efficient operation.
  • Respond promptly to any emergencies or security concerns.
  • Carry out health and safety checks and report any issues to the appropriate authorities.
  • Assist with the setup and clearance of facilities for events and activities.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a caretaking or maintenance role, preferably within a school environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.
  • Flexibility to work on short notice and adapt to changing priorities.
  • A positive attitude and a commitment to providing a safe and welcoming environment for students and staff.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
