Graduate Teaching Assistant - September Start

Are you a Graduate or soon to be graduate who is looking for experience in the classroom before becoming a teacher?
Protocol Education are currently working with Primary Schools across Islington who are looking for bright graduates who can support their students.
These roles in Islington will start in September 2024 and run for the whole academic year.
No prior experience is neccesary but we are looking for graduates with a can-do attitude who will go above and beyond to create a fun and safe learning enviroment.
As part of your role, you will be working with children with additional needs including ASD, ADHD and MLD.

You will be supported from day 1 by the SLT and by your consultant at Protocol Education who is only a phone call away at any time.
Job Duties:
- Supporting the lead teacher in delivering lessons and activities
- Assisting with classroom management and student supervision
- Providing one-on-one support to students with learning difficulties
- Preparing and organising educational materials
- Assessing student performance and providing feedback
Required Qualifications:
- A degree in Education or relevant field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for working with children and helping them achieve academic success
Education:
A Bachelor's degree in Education preferred but other degrees also considered
Working Conditions:
- Working hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday
- Classroom-based role with potential for outdoor activities
- May involve standing for long periods and occasional lifting of educational materials
- Working in schools local to Islington

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
