We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Post-16 SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Post-16 site in Rotherham.

Job Title: Post-16 SEND Teaching Assistant

Location: Rotherham

School Description: Our school is an inclusive educational setting that caters to young adults with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). We work closely with two local SEND schools, providing a nurturing and supportive environment for our students.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in delivering high-quality education and support to students with SEND
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create an inclusive learning environment
  • Support students with their individual learning plans and personal care needs
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience working with students with SEND, preferably in a post-16 setting
  • Knowledge of SLD and PMLD and understanding of appropriate strategies and interventions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with SEND

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
