Your Role as an Outreach Tutor:
Your primary focus will be providing personalised educational support to pupils needing extra assistance. Emphasizing Maths and English, your responsibilities will involve building strong connections with students, understanding their unique needs, and implementing strategies to enrich their learning experiences. Collaborating closely with school staff, parents, and professionals, you'll nurture a supportive and inclusive environment, fostering students' overall development and success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop an in-depth understanding of pupils' strengths, weaknesses, and learning requirements.
- Design and deliver tailored lessons to meet individual educational goals.
- Implement effective strategies and support plans to address learning difficulties or behavioral challenges.
- Offer 1:1 assistance during activities, ensuring active participation and engagement.
- Monitor progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate regularly with stakeholders.
- Collaborate with school staff and SENCO to adapt teaching methods to suit pupils' needs.
- Encourage social integration and foster positive relationships among pupils.
Your Qualifications and Characteristics:
- Hold QTS with experience in an SEN setting.
- Possess an Enhanced DBS on the update service.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of diverse learners' educational and emotional needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with pupils, parents, and staff.
- Show flexibility, adaptability, and resilience when faced with challenges.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
