Job Description

Job Duties:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and interactive lessons following the EYFS curriculum
  • Assess and monitor children's progress, providing feedback to parents and colleagues
  • Create a stimulating learning environment that promotes learning through play
  • Support children with special educational needs (SEN) and implement individualised education plans
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a holistic approach to children's development

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher (QTS)
  • Early Years Teacher qualification
  • PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification

Education:

A relevant degree in Early Childhood Education or related field

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Thorough understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Demonstrated curriculum knowledge and ability to plan and deliver effective lessons
  • Strong understanding of child development and learning through play
  • Awareness of special educational needs (SEN) and strategies to support children with SEN

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional training in SEN support
  • Experience with behaviour management techniques

Working Conditions:

This role involves working with young children in a nursery setting, following a set schedule and curriculum. The work may require occasional flexibility in hours and duties to meet the needs of the children and the nursery.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
