Are you passionate about joining a distinctive music department where every student is encouraged to learn a musical instrument?

At our school, music lies at the heart of our curriculum and is highly valued by both staff and students alike. We firmly believe in providing every student with the opportunity to excel in music, ensuring that financial constraints never hinder their ability to learn and play a musical instrument within an authentic performance setting.

In Key Stage 3, each student receives two music lessons per week. One of these sessions is a triple-staffed Big Band lesson, where students are grouped into instrumental sections under the guidance of expert instrumentalists, fostering both individual skill development and ensemble playing. Additionally, students participate in another curriculum music lesson weekly.

Thanks to our substantial investment in Key Stage 3, we have witnessed significant interest in GCSE music, with students demonstrating a genuine passion for music. Join our team and be part of our thriving music department, where you can inspire the next generation of musicians.
