Music Specialist

Protocol Education are currently recruiting for a Music Specialist to work within schools across North Bristol.

You have plenty of transferable skills that you can bring from your Music degree that you can apply within the classroom; teamwork, dedication, resilience, motivation, communication and of course, creativity – these are all essential when working with children and young people in schools!

Music is a great tool that can be used within schools to help students therapeutically or for focus. Using your creativity, you can help support students’ engagement and attitude towards their learning.

Role: Music Specialist

Start Date: Monday 20th June 2024

Location: Bristol, BS6

You in the role:

  • Open minded and flexible to work with a variety of students with various needs.

Roles available:

  • Class teacher – depending on qualifications (QTS needed)
  • Cover supervisor/unqualified teacher – (no qualifications needed)
  • Mentor
  • Behaviour Support Assistant
  • Youth Worker
  • Music therapy within SEN schools

 

  • Qualifications and Experience: (Desirable but not essential!)
    • Any previous teaching/youth work experience or any relevant experience working with young people.
    • Any relevant qualifications.
    • Teaching.
  • Safeguarding.
  • First Aid.
  • Youth work.
  • Understanding of National Curriculum.
