Mainstream SEND Primary Teaching Assistant

£85 - £95 Per day - in Line with AWR after 12 weeks
Job Duties:
Protocol Edcuation are currently working on behalf of a lovely Primary School in Hackney who are looking for staff to work in their Autism Resource Provision.
You will be working as part of a team of LSA's to provide support for children in EYFS and KS1 with Autism. Many of the children you are working with are non-verbal.
The school are willing to provide training and support to any successful candidate but they are looking for reliable and passionate educators in return.
Experience working with SEN in any enviroment would be highly beneficial for these roles.
The school also welcome applications from Graduates who are considering a career in teaching.
- Supporting the teacher in delivering lessons and activities for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
- Assisting students with their individual learning needs and providing additional support where necessary.
- Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Collaborating with the teacher to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans.
- Monitoring and recording student progress and behaviour.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths or equivalent qualifications.
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
Experience:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND in an educational setting.
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant is desirable but not essential.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of SEND and different learning needs.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or higher.
- Additional training in supporting students with specific SEND requirements.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
