Job Duties:

- Collaborate with the teacher in planning, developing, delivering, and evaluating the curriculum for pupils, adjusting content as needed

- Plan and implement specific programmes for individual pupils or groups based on their developmental needs

- Assist in the planning and development of social and interpersonal skills, providing support for personal, social, and emotional needs of pupils

- Assist in setting individual pupil targets, monitor progress, and review regularly

- Support pupils as part of planned inclusion programmes and during transitions to other schools

- Develop positive relationships with pupils and staff to aid in pupil progress and attainment

- Monitor and record pupil progress regularly and prepare reports when necessary

- Support pupils in classroom supervision and behaviour management

- Undertake administrative tasks within the classroom, including record-keeping

- Provide ideas, resources, and learning strategies for lessons

- Communicate with parents, carers, and outside agencies as needed

Required Qualifications:

- Level 3 Teaching Assistant Course

Education:

- Relevant qualifications in education or child development

Experience:

- Previous experience working in an educational setting

Knowledge and Skills:

- Strong understanding of child development and educational principles

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, pupils, and other staff members

Preferred Qualifications:

- Additional certifications in special education or child psychology

Working Conditions:

- Work primarily in a classroom setting

- Full-time hours with occasional additional hours for meetings or events

- May involve working with pupils with special educational needs

- Collaborative and supportive team environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
