Job Type:

Permanent, expected to work Full-Time hours

Qualifications:

Level 3 Early Years and Childcare or equivalent

Job Duties:

  • Plan and implement activities to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs of the children in the nursery
  • Provide a safe and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow
  • Observe, assess, and record each child's progress
  • Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues
  • Follow all policies and procedures to ensure the safeguarding of children

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification or equivalent
  • Previous experience working with young children
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of child development and learning theories
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Good organisational and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • First Aid and Safeguarding training
  • Experience working in a nursery setting

Working Conditions:

This role involves working with young children in a nursery setting. The practitioner may need to stand for long periods and occasionally lift or carry children. The working hours are full-time, and flexibility may be required to meet the needs of the nursery.
