Job Title: Learning Support Mentor with Health & Personal Care

Job Description:

Job Duties:

  • Provide learning support to students with health and personal care needs
  • Assist students in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to ensure individualised support for students
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to relevant stakeholders
  • Support students in developing independent living skills

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience working with individuals with health and personal care needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Education:

  • Minimum of a Level 3 qualification in a relevant field

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of health and personal care requirements for students
  • Ability to implement individualised support plans
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and health and safety regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • First Aid certification
  • Additional training in special educational needs

Working Conditions:

  • Temporary position with Full-Time hours
  • Work within an educational setting, collaborating with teaching staff
  • Potential exposure to health and personal care requirements of students

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
