Job Title: Learning Support Mentor
Location: East of England, Cambridgeshire, Cambridge
Job Type: Contract, expected to work Full-Time hours
Salary: £90 - £110 Per day
Job Description:
The Learning Support Mentor is responsible for providing academic and emotional support to students with learning difficulties or disabilities. The role is based in the East of England, specifically in Cambridgeshire, Cambridge. This is a contract position requiring full-time hours.
Job Duties:
- Providing one-on-one support to students with learning difficulties
- Developing individualised learning plans and strategies
- Assisting students in understanding and completing coursework
- Supporting students with emotional and behavioural challenges
- Collaborating with teachers and parents to create a supportive learning environment
Required Qualifications:
- A relevant qualification in education, special education, or a related field
- Experience working with students with learning difficulties or disabilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Education:
- A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field
Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of different learning styles and approaches
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies related to special education
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional training in special education or related areas
- Experience working with a diverse range of learning difficulties
Working Conditions:
- This role is based in a school setting
- May require occasional evening or weekend work for meetings or events

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
