Job Title: Learning Support Mentor

Shift Pattern:

Monday - Thursday: 08:30 - 17:00 / Friday: 08:30 - 16:30

Salary:

£88 - £100 Per day

Job Duties:

  • Providing one-to-one support to students with learning difficulties or disabilities
  • Assisting students in developing study skills and strategies
  • Helping students to access the curriculum and participate in classroom activities
  • Collaborating with teachers and other professionals to support student learning
  • Monitoring and tracking student progress
  • Providing feedback and encouragement to students

Required Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with students with learning difficulties or disabilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Good understanding of educational practises and policies

Education:

A relevant educational qualification in Special Educational Needs or a related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a similar role

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of different learning styles and strategies
  • Ability to adapt support techniques to meet individual student needs
  • Understanding of safeguarding procedures
  • Strong organisational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional training in specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia or autism
  • Experience in conducting assessments and creating individual learning plans

Working Conditions:

This role involves working within a school setting, supporting students in classrooms and other learning environments. The work may require some flexibility in terms of hours and duties to meet student needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
