We are currently seeking passionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistants to join our team.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of students within the Primary School. Working closely with teaching staff, you will help create an inclusive and supportive learning environment, ensuring that all students have the opportunity to reach their full potential.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with additional learning needs.
  2. Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behavior Plans.
  3. Support the classroom teacher in delivering differentiated lessons to cater to the diverse needs of students.
  4. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and well-being.
  5. Collaborate with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals to ensure effective communication and support for students.
  6. Promote positive behavior management strategies and contribute to the maintenance of a safe and respectful learning environment.

 

Requirements:

  1. Relevant experience working with children or Special Educational Needs.
  2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  3. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the development of children.
  4. Ability to work collaboratively within a team and follow school policies and procedures.
  5. Understanding of and commitment to promoting inclusive education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
