Protocol Education are working with a school within the Lewisham Borough who are currently looking for a Learning Support Assistant available to start in September!                                                                                        We We are open to both experienced and newly qualified as it this is a great opportunity to gain experience working in a secondary school environment in preparation for teacher training.

Your main duties:

    • Getting the classroom prepared for lessons and clearing up to provide a safe and clean environment
    • Supporting teachers in preparing lesson material and equipment
    • Supporting pupils while class is in session
    • Supervising group activities, events and school outings
    • Aiding children who are unwell or upset

 You will:

    • Be able to work effectively within a team
    • Be a good listener and communicator with both teachers and children
    • Be receptive to towards the thoughts and feelings of the students
    • Be able to stay calm within difficult situations

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
