KS1 Teaching Assistant

Are you a teaching assistant currently working in the primary sector or looking to develop your knowledge of education?

Protocol Education work with schools throughout Bradford that are seeking experienced, motivated teaching assistants to work either 1:1 or as general classroom assistants in KS1. To work with Protocol, the ideal candidate will be flexible and willing to travel for the perfect role.

Previous experience of working with children is a requirement.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in developing a nurturing, safe and inclusive environment for all children
  • Deliver engaging and beneficial small group activities
  • Work closely with children that have special educational needs and/or English as an additional language.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure children are following curriculum and monitor behaviour

Ideal Candidates will have:

  • Clear and current DBS on the update service or the willingness to apply for one
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Experience of working with children
  • A good understanding of the national curriculum
  • Ability to develop good relationships with children and adults alike
  • Great verbal and written communication skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
