We are currently seeking an outstanding candidate who is confident in teaching ICT and Computer Science to work within an ambitous and diverse Secondary school in the Sheffield area. As an integral member of this faculty, you will have the opportunity to inspire and empower students in their learning journey, equipping them with essential digital skills for the future. 

An experienced candidate with the ability to teach GCSE and A-level IT/Computing is desirable but the post could equally suit an ECT.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, passionate Teacher of IT to join a forward-thinking and innovative team within this high achieving school.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality computing lessons to students of all abilities, ensuring the curriculum is effectively covered.
  • Plan and prepare engaging lesson materials that cater to different learning styles and encourage active participation.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Provide constructive feedback and support to students, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.
  • Keep up-to-date with advancements in technology and computing, incorporating relevant developments into your teaching.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching methods and resources.

Requirements:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent in computing or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of computing concepts, programming languages, and emerging technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
  • A passion for education and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of young people.
