Position Overview:

As an Intervention Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in delivering targeted support and interventions to students who require additional assistance to succeed in their studies. Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and other support staff, you will develop and implement tailored intervention programs to address students' specific learning needs and facilitate their progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify students who require additional support through ongoing assessment and collaboration with teachers and support staff.
  • Design and deliver targeted intervention programs to address students' academic needs in areas such as literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional development.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions, making adjustments as necessary to ensure positive outcomes for students.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, delivering engaging and interactive sessions that cater to their individual learning styles and preferences.
  • Collaborate with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting students' educational and developmental needs.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a similar role providing intervention support to students preferred but not essential.
  • Strong knowledge of intervention strategies and techniques, with the ability to tailor interventions to meet individual student needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
