Job Description: We are seeking an innovative and enthusiastic ICT Teacher to join our dynamic team. As an ICT Teacher, you will have the opportunity to inspire students, foster their digital literacy skills, and prepare them for success in an increasingly technology-driven world.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and interactive ICT lessons that cover a range of topics, including computer science, digital literacy, coding, and multimedia applications.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods, resources, and technologies to cater to different learning styles and abilities, and create opportunities for students to develop practical skills through hands-on activities and projects.
  • Integrate real-world examples and current technologies into your teaching to make learning relevant and exciting for students, and encourage them to explore and experiment with new technologies independently.
  • Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback and support to help students improve their ICT skills and understanding.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement cross-curricular projects and initiatives that integrate ICT into other subject areas and promote interdisciplinary learning.
  • Stay informed about developments in ICT education, including changes to the curriculum, emerging technologies, and best practices in teaching ICT, and incorporate this knowledge into your teaching practice.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued, respected, and supported to achieve their full potential, regardless of their background or ability.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognized teaching qualification.
  • Specialization or relevant experience in ICT education, with a strong understanding of ICT curriculum requirements and best practices in teaching ICT.
  • Proficiency in a range of ICT tools, software, and programming languages, and the ability to teach these effectively to students of varying levels of proficiency.
  • Passion for technology and digital literacy, and a commitment to inspiring and empowering students to become confident and responsible users of technology.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students, and build positive relationships with colleagues, parents, and external partners.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, and contribute positively to the school community through participation in extracurricular activities, professional development opportunities, and school events.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
