Are you an ambitious and talented Humanities teacher who wants to teach in our vibrant, high achieving and multicultural school? If appointed, you will be part of a successful department with an enthusiastic team of highly committed teachers working towards excellence.

The successful applicants will be a passionate teacher with excellent subject knowledge in a Humanities specialism such as Geography, History, Religious Studies or Sociology. ECTs and experienced teachers are welcome to apply.

The person we are looking for should:

  • Be a very good team worker with the capacity to build relationships at all levels across the organisation.
  • Be prepared to contribute to broad aspects of Science.
  • Be proactive; a forward thinker with an effective grasp of developments within Science.
  • Be able to work successfully as part of a highly effective and successful team.

Qualifications and experience:

  • A graduate with qualified teacher status.
  • A strong teacher of Science- this post is also suitable for ECTs.
  • Relevant qualifications (both formal and through appropriate experience) to meet the challenge of the appointment.
  • Excellent in-depth knowledge of the place of the Science curriculum in the development of young people and of the place of within the wider curriculum.

An understanding of the importance of a rigorous reading strategy to ensure students’ confidence and reading fluency.
