Job Title: HLTA - Complex Needs

Location: Mansfield

Job Type: Contract, expected to work Full-Time hours

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Salary: £83 - £90 Per day

Your Role:

Your primary responsibility is to assist Curriculum Leads and Lead Teachers in devising, organising, and evaluating an adaptable and forward-thinking curriculum. This curriculum must cater to the diverse needs of children and young people with complex requirements, whether they are learning in community settings or at home. Your task involves tailoring the curriculum to align with individual Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) while ensuring its integration with broader educational frameworks.

You'll also facilitate learners' transition from community or home-based learning environments to hub or school settings, fostering their confidence and readiness for educational integration. Active participation in school development initiatives, particularly in curriculum and overall educational strategies, is integral to your role. Furthermore, you'll act as an advocate for the young people and their families under your care, ensuring their voices are heard and needs met.

Your Approach:

Utilising a collaborative and multi-agency approach, you'll deliver education provisions that prioritise holistic development, including health and safety awareness, risk management, and safeguarding. Mobility between various locations within the designated area is essential, as this role entails community-based support requiring transportation of young people. Additionally, your impact extends beyond logistical support; you'll drive positive improvements, encourage learner participation in decision-making processes, and serve as a role model to foster high levels of learner engagement.

Your Impact:

Your efforts will enable learners to smoothly transition from community or home-based settings to formal educational environments, enhancing their social skills and empowering them for future success. By equipping them with essential skills and providing tailored support, you'll contribute significantly to their educational journey, facilitating their integration into educational settings and enhancing their prospects for personal and academic growth.
