Position Overview: We are seeking a qualified History Teacher to deliver dynamic and engaging lessons to students aged 11-16. The successful candidate will have a genuine passion for history, the ability to inspire students, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality history lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Develop engaging curriculum materials aligned with national standards and the school's educational objectives.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and academic growth.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the overall success of the history department.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and school events as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in History, Education, or a related field (PGCE or equivalent qualification preferred).
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards obtaining QTS.
  • Proven experience teaching history at the secondary level, with a track record of student success.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for history.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Commitment to upholding the school's values and ethos.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
