About the Job:

We're on the lookout for an outstanding History Teacher to join our team starting in September. If you’re enthusiastic about teaching history and want to empower students to excel, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in History, Education, or a related field (PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification with QTS status).
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification is essential.
  • Previous experience teaching History at the secondary level, preferably in a diverse urban setting.
  • Sound understanding of the national curriculum for History and assessment practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong classroom management abilities with a knack for creating a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and growth.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance is a must.

What You'll Do:

  • Craft engaging and informative History lessons suitable for all students.
  • Ensure every student feels included and valued in the classroom.
  • Assist students in improving their historical knowledge and provide constructive feedback on their progress.
  • Share your passion for history with your students, fostering a love for the subject.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators to design exciting and beneficial lesson plans.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
  • Engage in regular discussions with students, parents, and colleagues to monitor progress and address any concerns.
