Job Overview: Due to our school's expansion, we are seeking a passionate and dedicated History Teacher to fill a full-time, permanent role starting in September 2024. The position offers a competitive salary on the MPS/UPS scale for Inner London. We encourage interested candidates to apply by April 15, 2024.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective History lessons to Key Stages 3 & 4 students.
  • Collaborate with departmental colleagues to develop and implement curriculum plans.
  • Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student progress and attainment.
  • Participate in wider school activities and initiatives as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience teaching History within a secondary school setting (ages 11-18).
  • Strong curriculum knowledge and the ability to effectively sequence skills and knowledge.
  • Demonstrated commitment to outstanding teaching and student progress.
  • Willingness to take on additional school responsibilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Qualified Teacher Status.
