Position Overview: We're looking for an enthusiastic History Teacher to lead engaging and thought-provoking lessons for secondary aged students. You will have the opportunity to bring history to life and instill a deep appreciation for the richness of our collective heritage.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver captivating history lessons that captivate students' imaginations and promote historical inquiry.
  • Utilise a range of teaching methodologies, including interactive discussions, multimedia resources, and hands-on activities.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and empowered to explore the complexities of history.
  • Assess student understanding through varied assessment methods and provide constructive feedback to support their growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the history curriculum and participate in school-wide initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
  • Bachelor's degree in History, Humanities, or a related field; postgraduate qualification preferred.
  • Previous experience teaching History.
  • A passion for history and a commitment to inspiring students through engaging and innovative teaching methods.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to connect with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
