Job Duties:

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, your main duties will include supporting teachers in delivering educational programmes, assisting with classroom management, providing one-on-one support to students, and helping with the planning and preparation of lessons. You will also be responsible for assessing students' progress, providing feedback, and ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent, along with relevant experience working in a school setting.

Education:

GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths are required. Additional qualifications in education or child development are desirable.

Experience:

Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role within a school environment is essential.

Knowledge and Skills:

Strong communication skills, the ability to work effectively in a team, good organisational skills, and a passion for supporting students' learning and development.

Preferred Qualifications:

A Level 4 Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is preferred.

Working Conditions:

You will be working in a dynamic school environment, collaborating with teachers and students. The role may require some flexibility in working hours to accommodate school events or activities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
