Higher Level Teaching Assistant

We are currently working with a number of Primary schools in London borough of Hillingdon, in areas such as Uxbridge, Hayes, Ruislip and West Drayton to appoint Higher Level Teaching Assistants to work alongside teachers in planning and delivering learning activities for students across Early Years, KS1 & KS2 classes.

The main part of your role will be to lead on activities and interventions with individuals, groups and whole classes under the direction of the class teacher. This is a challenging and varied role where no to days will be the same, you will have the opportunity to utilise your skills and experience as well as gain further knowledge and experience to progress in your career.

We are looking for people who have a pro-active, can do attitude and are willing to go the extra mile for the students they support. As part of the role you will be expected to take a lead on supporting students with activities and interventions in areas such as maths, phonics and literacy so it is essential that you are confident in this area. This can either be from a strong education background or experience working in a similar setting.

You will be working as part of a supportive team, to ensure that students get the best out of school. You will need to have strong behaviour management skills, as well as the ability to inspire and lead students in their learning. It is essential that you have a resilient nature as well as a positive and holistic attitude and approach to your work and will need to be able to demonstrate experience in Teaching and delivering learning to students and knowledge of the Primary Curriculum.

These roles are to start ASAP and will be offered on a rage of daily, short and long-term supply positions so you will need to be available and flexible, ideally you will need to be available for a minimum of 4 days a week and able to work between 8am-4pm Monday-Friday during term time.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
