Position Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated graduate to join us as a SEN Teaching Assistant. In this role, you will work closely with students with SEN, providing tailored support to help them access the curriculum, participate in classroom activities, and reach their academic and personal goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with SEN, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other learning difficulties
  • Assist students with their academic work, helping them to understand concepts, complete tasks, and develop study skills
  • Implement strategies and interventions to support students' learning and development, including sensory integration techniques, visual aids, and behavior management strategies
  • Support students with their social and emotional well-being, promoting positive behavior and interactions
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to assess student needs and implement tailored support plans

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in education, psychology, special education, or a related field
  • Passion for supporting students with SEN and a desire to make a positive impact in their lives
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and colleagues
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards supporting students' learning and development
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
