About the role:

Currently, Protocol Education is recruiting Graduates to be Learning Support Assistant in schools within the Newcastle area. We supply to schools in North Tyneside, Gosforth, Jesmond and Whitley Bay.

This role is perfect for graduates who wish to gain some experience in school along with those who wish to build relationships with secondary schools in Newcastle. This role may also work alongside a student’s studies in or to enhance your CV.

This role requires candidates to be confident supporting SEND children. Candidates could be based in the classroom or be aiding small groups of pupils. LSA’s can also have to support children one-to-one. Candidates need to feel confident communicating with students and be a positive role model. Learning support assistants also need to assist with classroom activities and support the pupils learning. Individuals need to be patient, approachable and have a passion for educational development.

Requirements:

  • Graduate in a relevant field such as Psychology, English, Maths or Science.
  • preferably experience, personal or professional, working with SEND children.
  • Interested in helping SEND children with their educational and personal development.
  • Good verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Has or is willing to obtain an enhanced DBS.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
