About the Role:

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Geography Teacher to join Protocol Education located in the Bury area. As a valued member of our faculty, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the academic journey of our students within the framework of the St Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Academy Trust. This is a full-time position commencing in September, and candidates will be required to undergo interviews and a trial day as part of the selection process. The successful candidate will have the invaluable opportunity to in still a passion for geography in our students while assisting them in reaching their full potential. This role offers long-term stability and the chance to integrate into a supportive and enthusiastic staff community.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement meticulously planned, engaging, and effective geography lessons tailored to accommodate the diverse learning needs of our student body.

- Cultivate a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters a sense of belonging and support for all students.

- Utilize a diverse range of teaching methodologies and resources to facilitate active learning and foster critical thinking skills.

- Regularly assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to facilitate their academic growth and development.

- Collaborate closely with fellow educators to contribute to the overall success of the geography department and the wider school community.

- Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities to continually enhance teaching practices and subject knowledge.

Requirements:

- Possession of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), accompanied by a relevant degree in Geography or a related field.

- Demonstrable expertise in geography education coupled with a genuine passion for the subject.

- Proven experience in delivering high-quality geography instruction at the secondary level, ideally within the context of a UK educational setting.

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to establish positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents alike.

- Dedication to upholding and promoting the core values and ethos of the school, including a firm commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
