Job Duties:

  • Plan and deliver engaging geography lessons to students
  • Create a positive learning environment that encourages student participation
  • Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments and exams
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to support their learning and development
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Geography or related field
  • PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Geography or related field

Experience:

Previous experience teaching geography at the secondary school level is preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of the geography curriculum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively manage a classroom and engage students
  • Good organisational and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Geography or Education
  • Experience working with diverse student populations

Working Conditions:

You will be working in a school setting, following the academic calendar. This role may require some additional hours for lesson planning and grading.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
