Responsibilities:

  • Engage and motivate students through dynamic and interactive lessons that bring geography to life.
  • Foster critical thinking and analytical skills by encouraging students to investigate real-world issues such as climate change, globalization, and cultural diversity.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and empowered to succeed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative curriculum materials and educational initiatives that inspire curiosity and exploration.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching skills and stay abreast of current trends in geography education.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Geography Education or a related field.
  • Teaching certification/license
  • Experience teaching Geography at KS3-KS5
  • Strong knowledge of the Geography
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • The right to work in the UK.
  • Has or is willing to obtain an enhanced DBS.
  • Is a patient and approachable individual.
  • Has positive communication skills.
  • Has a passionate for student development.
  • Ideally experience in a school setting( Not mandatory)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
