Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality geography lessons to students at all levels, ensuring the curriculum is effectively covered.

Plan and prepare engaging lesson materials that encourage active participation and cater to different learning styles.

Foster a sense of curiosity and wonder about the world, helping students develop a deep understanding of geographic concepts and processes.

Promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills through the exploration of real-world geographical issues and case studies.

Use a variety of teaching methods and resources, including technology and fieldwork, to enhance students' learning experiences.

Provide regular feedback and support to students, helping them to develop their knowledge and skills.

Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching approaches and cross-curricular projects.

Requirements:

Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent in geography or a related field.

Strong subject knowledge in geography, including both physical and human geography.

Passion for geography and a genuine enthusiasm for sharing knowledge with students.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire young learners.

Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love for learning.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
