Job Description: We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a SEN Support Teaching Assistant in Sheffield. This role involves providing tailored support to a student with Special Educational Needs (SEN), fostering a positive learning environment, and assisting the classroom teacher in creating an inclusive and enriching educational experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide one-to-one support to a student with SEN, ensuring their individual needs are met.
  2. Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and personalized learning strategies.
  3. Collaborate with the classroom teacher to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  4. Support the student's social and emotional development, fostering a sense of belonging and self-confidence.
  5. Adapt and differentiate teaching materials to accommodate the student's learning style and abilities.
  6. Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other professionals involved in the student's education.
  7. Monitor and record the student's progress, providing regular feedback to the teaching team.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  1. Relevant experience in supporting students with SEN in an educational setting.
  2. Knowledge of various special educational needs and strategies to address them.
  3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of students with SEN.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
