We are currently seeking experienced and dedicated Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Teaching Assistants to join our team on a full-time basis. Position Overview: As a Full-Time Experienced SEND Teaching Assistant with Protocol Education, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of schools and educational settings, providing crucial support to students with special educational needs. This role requires a high level of expertise, empathy, and adaptability to contribute effectively to the success of students in diverse learning environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with classroom teachers to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
  • Provide one-on-one support and assistance to students with SEND in the classroom setting.
  • Adapt and modify curriculum materials to meet the unique needs of individual students.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting the social and emotional development of students.
  • Communicate effectively with school staff, parents, and other professionals to ensure coordinated support for students.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay updated on best practices in special education.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant in a Special Education setting OR a can do attitude and willingness to complete required training and educate yourself
  • Experience working with students or adults with SEND is preferred, though personal experience will be considered
  • Relevant education or training in Special Education or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of diverse learning needs and the ability to implement effective support strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to different school environments and collaborate with diverse teams.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
