EYFS Teaching Assistant

Here at Protocol Education, we are seeking both experienced and entry level teaching assistants to join our team. As an Early Years Foundation Stage teaching assistant, you will have the opportunity to work with a number of schools in Leeds in both full time and part time roles. In the role, you will work closely with children to ensure that they make progress within education whilst also developing as a professional and individual.

Working in EYFS will enable you to support the initial development of children, through supporting initial letter writing and early reading, whilst also supporting pupils with the development of social and emotional skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with class teacher to ensure the Early Years Framework is followed.
  • Deliver and lead small group activities with pupils
  • Provide 1:1 support to children with English as an additional language and/or Special Educational Needs
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure that an inclusive, nurturing environment is maintained for pupils

Ideal Candidates will have:

  • Clear and current DBS on the update service or be able to apply for this
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Experience and passion for working with children
  • Great understanding of the national curriculum

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
