Role Overview: As an English teacher, you will play a pivotal role in inspiring a love for literature and language in students from Key Stages 3 to 5. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver inspiring English lessons that captivate and motivate students, covering a range of literary genres, language skills, and examination techniques.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel empowered to express themselves, explore diverse perspectives, and develop their own voices as writers and thinkers.
  • Assess student progress regularly through a variety of formative and summative assessments, providing timely feedback and guidance to support their academic growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, contribute to curriculum development, and participate in extracurricular activities and enrichment programs.
  • Engage with parents, carers, and external stakeholders to communicate student progress and ensure a collaborative approach to supporting student achievement.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialism in English language and literature.
  • Proven experience teaching English at Key Stages 3 to 5, with a track record of delivering outstanding outcomes for students.
  • Passion for English education and a deep appreciation for the power of literature to inspire, inform, and transform lives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK and willingness to undergo relevant background checks.
