Protocol Education are currently looking for an English Teacher to work 3 days a week, in an unusual setting. Please note we are willing to increase the wage based on experience. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and inspiring English lessons that captivate students' imaginations and foster a deep appreciation for literature, language, and communication.
  • Utilize a range of teaching strategies and resources to cater to the diverse needs and learning styles of students, ensuring that all learners are supported to achieve their full potential.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel empowered to express themselves, think critically, and develop their creativity and analytical skills.
  • Provide constructive feedback and support to students to help them progress academically and develop their confidence and self-belief as writers, readers, and communicators.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development of the English curriculum, assessment practices, and extracurricular activities, ensuring that the department continues to deliver outstanding outcomes for students.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in English literature, language, or a related discipline.
  • Previous experience teaching English at secondary level, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality teaching and achieving excellent outcomes for students.
  • Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for English literature, language, and communication.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
