Job Duties:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging English lessons to students
  • Assess and evaluate student progress through tests, assignments, and examinations
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to support their learning and development
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Degree in English or a related field

Education:

Bachelor's degree in English or a related field

Experience:

Previous experience teaching English to students

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of the English language and literature
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively manage a classroom and engage students
  • Organisational skills and the ability to plan lessons effectively

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education
  • Experience working with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities

Working Conditions:

The English Teacher will work in a school setting, following the academic calendar. The role may require some additional hours for lesson planning and grading outside of regular school hours.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
