Job Duties:

The Early Years Assistant at Level 2 will support the lead teacher in creating a safe and nurturing environment for young children. Duties include assisting with educational activities, supervising playtime, and ensuring the well-being of children in the early years setting.

Required Qualifications:

Applicants must hold a Level 2 Early Years qualification to be considered for this role.

Experience:

Prior experience working with young children in an early years setting is desirable.

Knowledge and Skills:

Strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to work effectively in a team are essential. Knowledge of early childhood development and appropriate care practises is also important.

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional qualifications in childcare or early years education are preferred.

Working Conditions:

This role involves working with young children in an educational setting. The Early Years Assistant may need to assist with lifting and carrying, and will be required to undergo background checks in line with safeguarding regulations.
