Are you a recent graduate with a degree in Drama looking for a rewarding opportunity to kickstart your career in education? We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to join our team as a Primary Teaching Assistant. This is an ideal for Drama graduates who are passionate about using their skills to enhance learning and engage young minds across the primary curriculum.

The Role:

As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with classroom teachers across various year groups, providing support to children in their learning journey. This role offers the chance to apply your drama skills in a wide range of contexts, from supporting literacy and communication to enhancing social skills and confidence through role-play and group activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of lessons across the curriculum with enthusiasm and creativity.
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of activities that stimulate learning, incorporating your drama skills to engage students effectively.
  • Work with individual students or small groups under the direction of the classroom teacher, providing targeted support where needed.
  • Contribute to creating a positive, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities and staff meetings to continuously improve your practice.

What We're Looking For:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Drama or a closely related field.
  • A strong interest in pursuing a career in primary education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire children.
  • Creativity, adaptability, and a proactive approach to supporting children’s learning.
  • Previous experience working with children (in any capacity) is an advantage but not essential.
  • A commitment to professional growth and a willingness to contribute positively to the school community.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
