Responsibilities:

Curriculum Development:
- Develop and implement an engaging and challenging Design and Technology curriculum that aligns with the national standards and educational goals.
- Integrate innovative teaching methodologies to enhance student understanding and application of design principles and technological concepts.

Classroom Instruction:
- Conduct effective and dynamic classroom instruction, catering to diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Assessment and Feedback:
- Design and administer assessments to evaluate student progress and achievement in Design and Technology.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their continuous improvement.

Equipment and Resource Management:
- Manage and maintain the Design and Technology workshop, ensuring that all equipment and resources are in proper working order.
- Supervise student use of tools and machinery, emphasizing safety protocols and best practices.

Collaboration:
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate cross-disciplinary approaches and promote a holistic learning experience.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and achievements.

Professional Development:
- Stay abreast of advancements in design and technology education.
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and subject knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design and Technology Education or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching Design and Technology.
- Strong knowledge of current educational trends and best practices in design and technology education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
