Position Overview: We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join us as Day-to-Day SEND Teaching Assistants. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work across different classrooms and year groups, providing tailored support to students with SEND and helping them access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with SEND in the classroom
  • Assist teachers in adapting lesson plans and materials to meet the individual needs of students
  • Support students with personal care tasks, mobility assistance, and sensory needs as required
  • Help students develop independence, social skills, and self-confidence
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to implement support strategies and interventions

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with students with SEND preferred
  • Understanding of different types of SEND and their impact on learning and development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in different classroom settings
