At Protocol Education we are seeking Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across mainstream secondary schools in Bradford. Successful cover supervisors will work in our client secondary schools , covering both short-term and long-term absences.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for the supervision of your own classroom in the absence of the teacher. The role is perfect for a candidate who wants to gain experience working in the classroom, and aspiring teachers that want to enhance their skills. Cover Supervisors must be organised and flexible as the role will include covering multiple subjects.
Cover supervising is a brilliant way to get your foot in the door in the education sector as well as gaining an insight into how different schools work and will help you decide what kind of school you would love to work in! By working as a cover supervisor, you will work in secondary schools in your area. You will go into schools and cover lessons which have work fully set and planned ready for your arrival. You can also deliver lessons in your specialist subject to increase your experience.

The role involves covering a range of lessons within a secondary school setting for teachers that are absent. Work will be provided for the children, the Cover Supervisor has to share and explain this work and also make sure a calm learning environment is maintained at all times. The role of a Cover Supervisor is ideal for those who are considering a career in teaching, as you get the opportunity to develop your classroom presence, without the added workload of planning or marking work.

Please note that this is not a teaching role. All work will be pre-planned and set for you. Free training will also be provided.. Working as a supply cover supervisor gives you the flexibility of choosing when you want us to find you work.
Candidates with experience of working with children, such as youth workers, Sports coaches and dance teachers are welcomed to apply. Candidates with no experience will be considered if they are a graduate in a suitable field.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
