Are you a committed and passionate Cover Supervisor?

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a suitably experienced Cover Supervisor Protocol is currently recruiting for enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work in a variety of amazing secondary schools based in the Spalding area. The posts are both full-time, long-term roles and part time flexible contracts as well as daily supply.

You should apply for this role if you:

  • Have a minimum of 6 months’ experience in an educational setting
  • Have good knowledge of child protection and safeguarding guidelines (an up-to-date DBS that is registered on the Update Service is desirable but not essential at this stage)
  • Have the ability to work collaboratively as well as taking ownership of your own workload
  • Are considering a career in teaching or education

Responsibilities:

  • Cover a variety of subjects by providing students with materials previously prepared by class teachers (you will not be expected to deliver nor plan lessons)
  • Successfully manage the behaviour of the class following the schools' behaviour policies
  • Foster positive relationships with students by being a role model and ensure students are on task
  • Work collaboratively with the cover manager and the rest of the team to ensure the smooth running of the school day in the absence of class teachers.
  • Being punctual and professional

 

The Successful applicant must have:

· A genuine professional interest in working with children

· Experience of working with children

· A willingness to participate in new training

· Good written and oral communication skills

· Commitment, energy and enthusiasm

· Flexibility in duties and approaches

· NVQ level 3 qualifications or equivalent preferred

. Be able to work in partnership with parents and the wider community

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
