Salary: £100 - £120 per day

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Job Duties:

  • Supervise and manage classroom activities in the absence of the regular teacher
  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure students' engagement and progress
  • Maintain a positive learning environment and manage student behaviour
  • Assist students with questions and provide guidance when needed
  • Manage classroom resources and ensure a tidy and organised learning space
  • Report any issues or incidents to the appropriate personnel
  • Follow school policies and procedures
  • Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required

Required Qualifications:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage and engage with a diverse group of students
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities
  • Ability to adapt to different teaching styles and approaches

Education:

  • A-levels (or equivalent) in any subject

Experience:

  • Prior experience working with children or young adults in an educational setting
  • Familiarity with classroom management techniques

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of the national curriculum and educational practises
  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Office
  • Ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism and composure

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant certification
  • First Aid certification

Working Conditions:

  • Part-Time hours, typically during school hours (8:30 AM - 3:30 PM)
  • Work in various classrooms and educational settings
  • Collaborate with teachers and school staff
  • Regularly interact with students of different ages and abilities
  • Occasional attendance at evening events or parent meetings

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
