Cover Supervisor

We have an exciting opportunity for a cover supervisor to join one of our partner schools on a full time basis up until Easter in the first instance.  The role will involve covering staff sickness so will involve working across mutliple departments within the school.  Your role will be to assign set work to the class, answer questions and manage the classroom in terms of behaviour and interaction.  The school itself boasts fantastic facilities and a very friendly team to work within.  The role is initially until Easter but may well be extended from there for the right candidate.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar cover supervisor or support role however we will also consider candidates with backgrounds in sports coaching or drama clubs as the skills and experience are readily transferrable.

he successful individual will hold :

  • Experience of working with or raising young adults and children
  • Be organised and confident to gain control of a classroom
  • Have knowledge and experience of how technology can be used to support learning

Duties include :

  • Covering lessons, break duties and other duties where supervision for pupils is required in the absence of teachers and assistant teachers.
  • Register pupils in class 
  • Ensure pupils remain on task with cover work set by absent teacher
  • Ensure high standards of behaviour in line with school policy

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
