Job Duties:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Computer Science lessons to students
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress and provide feedback
  • Develop and implement curriculum and lesson plans
  • Utilise a variety of teaching methods to ensure all students' learning styles are accommodated
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Computer Science department

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

Experience:

Previous experience in teaching Computer Science preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Computer Science principles and programming languages
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate and engage students in learning
  • Organisational skills and ability to manage a classroom effectively

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education
  • Experience in teaching at the secondary school level

Working Conditions:

The role involves working in a school environment, following the academic calendar and timetable. Full-time hours are expected, with additional responsibilities such as staff meetings and parent-teacher conferences.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
