Full time & Part Time – hours 8:25am-3:30pm

THE ROLE :

  • The cover supervisor’s main job is to manage classroom behaviour, guaranteeing that students remain on task with the work they have been set, be confident and have strong classroom presence ,academic knowledge with the ability to think on your feet.
  • Cover Supervisor to oversee classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, supporting the progress of our students. The successful candidate should be able to supervise whole classes and give instructions using their initiative to support teaching and learning throughout the school.
  • Mainstream secondary school working in classrooms solo supervising children aged 11-16.

Whilst no previous experience is required we are looking for confident individuals who either have experience of working with children or who are potentially interested in a career in teaching.

•                  an individual with the ability to take initiative and responsibility

•                  excellent organisational skills

•                  excellent communication and literacy skills

•                  efficient IT and administrative skills

•                  a friendly, positive and engaging classroom approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
